Step back in time and experience American history come to life at the Hermitage! The 6th Regiment NH Volunteers Co. C will set up camp on our grounds, showing visitors exactly how Civil War soldiers lived, trained, and prepared for battle.

Kids can join in the fun with wooden muskets, learning simple drill maneuvers right alongside the reenactors. Families can explore the soldiers’ tents, handle replica artifacts, and hear stories about daily life during the Civil War, straight from the “troops” themselves.

And while you’re here, take a guided tour inside the historic Hermitage as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday. It’s the perfect blend of learning, adventure, and hands‑on history for all ages.
