Join Cordelia Siporin for an in-depth exploration of the differences between Japanese anime and Western cartoon animation through a look at the history of animation as it evolved as both a technology and an art form. Examining the cultural influences that have worked to shape both traditions, this talk will also explore significant aspects of Eastern and Western art history, cultural traditions, and early silent film techniques.
